Can I Get a Witness!?

If a tree falls in the forest and no one is there to hear it does it make a sound? Is this the most philosophical question asked ever? No, I don't want to think much about it. However, it just makes you think about the viability or research! Because as we learned in class if someone researches something and publishes a paper does it mean that it is correct. That no one should object it or choose to repeat the experiment? That would be the problem today with people arguing "Well I heard..." or "It was on the news" or "I read it in a blog". They don't question it or just believe whatever they first heard about it and then stick with it when someone tries to argue against them. I refuse to believe that medicine is the only way to cure someone (though it does "take away" the pain sometimes). Or that there is only one way to do something because then we lack innovation. It will be the person who is creative and intelligent that will look at something from a different perspective. It will be the years of work someone else has done that will prove NO IT DOESN'T WORK THAT WAY! Try another method! But still there is that last note hanging that if only they had completed one more step or pinpointed something in a repeated experiment that they found the solutuion. That is way accidents are a good thing.
